Namaz-e-Istisqa is Offered for Rain
Every single Surah in Islam has a secretive meaning. There is Surah in Islam for guidance, goodwill, rain, or better health too. This is a prayer that is taken into recourse as when seeking rain from Allah during times of drought. It is also performed at the time when the leader of the prayer prays with the followers almost two rak’ahs at a time when it is not desirable to pray. However, firstly in Makkah, the Imam recites on with the Surat Al-A`la just as after Surat Al-Fatihah. While, in the second Makkah, he reads Surat Al-Ghashiyah as after Al-Fatihah.
Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out as to make the Salat Al-Istisqa’ y wearing old clothes, in a humble and lowly manner, and prayed two rak`ahs as he prayed the `Eid, but he did not give a similar khutbah.” In many Islamic countries, to seek rain, Namaz e Istisqa is performed by the Muslims.
