Hazrat Abdul Rahman-bin-Auf (RA) was the first Writer of Wahi in Quarish

Wahi is an Arabic word that means revelation. In Islamic belief, revelation is considered to be God’s Word delivered by his chosen individuals in the Messenger Prophets. Hazrat Abdul Rehman bin Auf is known to be the first writer of Wahi in Quarish. In addition, he was an important part of spreading Islam. He was also a member of the committee of the Caliphate that was constituted by Hazrat Umar (R.A). He (R.A) migrated two times i.e. first to Ethiopia and then to Madina Shareef. Whereas Hazrat Abdul Rahman-bin-Auf had a charming personality. Hence, he passed away at the age of 72. He was buried in Jannat-ul-Baqi.

However, he was part of all the battles and expeditions along with the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). While, at the time of the battle of Uhud, he (R.A) did receive twenty-one injuries and two of his teeth broke away. Probably, he was known to be a successful trader and had the outclass wealth. Furthermore, he was a person with great generosity. Hence, he spent the maximum of his wealth on the cause of Islam. However, he shares a closer bond with the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
