Battle of Badr was Fought in 17th Ramadan

Battle of Badr named out to be the first and most important battle between the Muslims and the Mushrikeen of Makkah. The battle was fought on the day of 2AH on Friday 17th of Ramazan. It holds the importance for the reason that Allah (SWT) had promised the Muslims to get the victory even before the battle had started. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran: “And indeed Allah assisted you at Badr when you were weak, so be careful (to your duty) to Allah so that you may be among the thankful. When you said to the believers. Is it not enough for you that your Lord should assist you by sending down three thousand angels? ” – Sura Aal-e-Imran 3:123 & 124”.  This battle was named after the Badr bin Quraish bin Mukhlad bin an-Nadr bin Kananah. Muslims had just 2 horses with 70 camels and the rest of them reached Madina on barefoot. Do you know what is Itikaf in Ramadan?
